After it is baked |
This an easy recipe to make for company! - I don't know . . . . do you have company over anymore? Well, when I was a kid it seemed to happen more often - especially after church on Sundays for a roast at lunchtime - at night then when you had a hot dinner at noon, it would be called Supper (just a little Canadian traditions for ya).
1 c flour
3/4 c sugar
3 T cocoa
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c milk
2 T oil
1 tsp vanilla
Sift together first 5 ingredients, add milk, oil and vanilla until smooth. Stir in 1/2 c chopped nuts if desired. Pour into greased 8x8 pan.
3/4 c brown sugar1/4 c cocoa
1 3/4 c very hot water
Combine remaining ingredients, pour over batter. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Serves 6. ENJOY ♥ but be careful if you eat this too late - it kept me up all night!!
